Mini Headend Systems

Turnkey channel delivery for multi-screen venues — no set-top box behind every TV.

When a cable operator goes all-digital, every television at a site would otherwise need its own set-top box. Trivision designs, builds, programs, and deploys mini headend systems that solve this at a central location — pairing the operator’s set-top boxes with modulators and pushing a clean channel line-up over the property’s existing coax. This is the service wrapper around our own Compass Digital-to-Analog Mini Headend product: we handle the line-up design, pre-programming, and install so the operator keeps full control with none of the integration work.

What we do

Channel line-up design

We scope the venue, confirm the operator’s set-top boxes and authorizations, and design the exact channel line-up the property needs — sized to the number of screens and channels required.
  • Venue and infrastructure assessment
  • Line-up mapped to operator STBs and packages
  • Scaled by stacking units for any channel count

Pre-programming & build

Each system is assembled, burned-in, and pre-programmed at the operator’s facility before it ships — so on-site work is reduced to Cable In, Cable Out, and AC power.
  • Assembled and fully burned-in
  • Pre-programmed before shipment
  • STB upgrades: auto power-on, IR enable/disable, programming survives outages

Analog SD or 1080p HD

Deliver standard analog channels, or upgrade with Trivision’s own TBT-8HTQ digital modulator for crisp 1080p HD — instead of, or alongside, the analog line-up.
  • Analog SD delivery over existing coax
  • Optional 1080p HD via digital modulator upgrade
  • Compass-12 (legacy STBs) and Compass-10 (current digital STBs)

Optional remote management

Add the web module and the operator can change the line-up, exercise remote functions, and monitor every chassis and channel from any location — with optional live video streaming.
  • Instant channel changes from anywhere
  • Real-time monitoring of every unit and channel
  • Optional live video streaming to the control centre

Where it's deployed

→

Hotels, sports bars, and restaurants delivering many channels to many screens over existing coax.

→

Health, fitness, educational, and correctional facilities that need centralized channel delivery without a box per TV.

→

Small communities and commercial properties where per-screen set-top boxes are impractical to deploy and manage.

→

An operator wants to keep full control of channels and authorizations while offloading the integration and install.
